NANAS will hold a publish-or-perish (PoP) research meeting and writing retreat from July 14-17, 2016, at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, WI.
Bring a partial manuscript, an outline, or even just an idea for an essay. Work times are Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 8-6 with a break for lunch, and Sunday 9-1. Spend the days in scholarly focus, writing in a quiet, spacious room. Spend the evenings with convivial age studies colleagues as we sample locally-brewed beer, amble along a rails-to-trails path on the Red Cedar River, and tour the Mabel Tainter, a “jewel box-like theater” that CNN named one of the 15 most spectacular theatres in the world.
